Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 26, 2026

CountBy5 is a study app for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. In short: the app does not collect your personal information. The only data that leaves your device is what's needed to verify a subscription, described under "Subscription processing" below.

What we don't collect

Information stored on your device

Your study progress (answers, streaks, bookmarks, missed questions, flashcard status, mock exam history), your settings, and your exam date and daily goal are stored only on your device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.

Depending on your phone's settings, your operating system may include app data in its own device backups (for example, iCloud or Google backups). Those backups are controlled by Apple or Google and your device settings, not by us.

Purchases

Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play and processed by Apple or Google. Your card number and other payment details are handled by Apple or Google and never reach us. Apple and Google handle your payment information under their own privacy policies.

Subscription processing

CountBy5 uses RevenueCat, a subscription service, to check your subscription status and unlock Pro. It does this with the store's purchase receipt data and an anonymous app user ID; no name, email address or account is collected. When the app starts, and when you buy or restore a subscription, RevenueCat processes:

This is used only to check whether your subscription is active, prevent fraud, and give us aggregate subscription reports (for example, how many active subscriptions there are). It is not used for advertising or tracking. RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy policy. No other data is collected.

To ask for this subscription data to be deleted, email us at the address below and include the order ID from your App Store or Google Play receipt email, so we can find the anonymous record. Your purchase record with Apple or Google is kept by them under their own policies.

Links that leave the app

Opening the Terms of Use, this Privacy Policy, the support email, or the manage-subscription page opens your browser, email app, or the App Store or Google Play outside CountBy5. Those services have their own privacy practices.

Children

CountBy5 is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above. If a change affects how your information is handled, we will also note it in the app's release notes.
